why are the Americans loving soccer?

Yeah I mean it’s so strange, you Americans are loving soccer all of a sudden ! Shame on you I’m not an American and I don’t live there so I have the right to love soccer and I certainly have the right to call it FOOTBALL well at least they use their feet just kidding

but it’s really a strange phenomenon every Hollywood celebrity is watching it and even bill clinton … cnn is covering the world cup 24/7 and fox….. My cousin lives in america and she is arguing daily with her american friends about “who will win the world cup” on facebook, even john stewart talks about the cup in his show, it’s becoming more important to the americans then it is to the europeans really ! the europeans are focusing on F1, wimbeldon, and so on but the americans are only focusing on the world cup, a little bit on the nba free agents and a little bit also about all the other things like wimbeldon and golf ! For example I used to watch the world cup on many channels including france 3 and tf1, when france left the tournament france didn’t broadcast any match and didn’t talk about the world at all and tf1 broadcasts only 1 or 2 matches each week and don’t talk about the other matches at all !

The american team is out as well but the americans as I see didn’t care that much, well of course they did but they are cheering other teams like germany Netherlands…. and the coverage continues on the american channels. Isn’t weired a little bit? what about baseball, NHl hookey… Is Beckham the reason why you love football or is it the improvement of the american soccer?

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think that people are not watching hokey baseball and NFL as much as before but the nba is still fine, i might be wrong. As for me I watch NHL but don’t like it that much, the same could be said about baseball because it takes a lot of time, I love NBA, I prefer Rugby over NFL and as for nascar I prefer to watch F1.

By the way last year or so I was watching a documentary about NFL and one of the officials say that they are concerned about the future of the game because kids are more likely to play soccer because the mothers tell their kids to do so, because it’s less dangerous than American football and the 2nd reason is that the american football uniform is very costly and you don’t need to spend that much money on soccer. What do you think?

And finally why do you think that usa is not able to win the world cup, you’ve got the money but not the players so why not bringing the best coaches and stuff to make players, after all good players are made and not born, not all of them. I heard that the Americans made a plan in the 1980′s to win the cup in 2022 or so is it true?
