France cites Google advertising as “possible” abuse

France’s Competition Authority said Tuesday that Google occupies a strongly dominant position in the online advertising market linked to Internet searches and that it possibly violated competition law.
Following a review requested by the government, the FCA said it “considers that Google holds a dominant position on the advertising market linked to search engines.”

Google bid to buy Groupon ‘fails’
Online discount shopping site Groupon has rejected a multi-billion-dollar takeover bid by Internet search giant Google, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The Tribune cited sources close to the matter as saying the Chicago-based startup decided to remain independent. Google was believed to be offering more than five billion dollars for Groupon.

Flickr Photos: A Guide to Finding and Using
I don’t think this blog would be a fraction of what it is, without Flickr. The images included with many posts draw the eye to the page and create an atmosphere for the rest of the piece. It’s also one aspect of a blog that is commented on the most. I believe that images are something that creates a good impression with many visitors to a blog.
