France coach Marc Lievremont has opted to stick with the same squad for the clash with Ireland despite fitness fears over Luc Ducalcon, Aurelien Rougerie and Benjamin Fall.
France opened up their RBS Six Nations rugby campaign with an impressive, forward-dominated victory over Scotland at Murrayfield.
They now face 2009 Grand Slam winners Ireland in Paris – with the clash set to give a clear indication of the destination of this year’s title.
Coach Lievremont, so offered criticised for a lack of consistency in his selections, has opted to maintain an unchanged squad for the match.
That means Rougerie, who was injured making a tackle in the fourth minute against Scotland, fellow winger Fall and prop Ducalcon are retained.
“The group of 23 players will be retained despite the uncertainties,” said Lievremont.
“It’s been a while since there was continuity in the France team, given injuries and dips in form.
