Toulouse d’été is celebrating its seventh sumeer time fesitval and aims to be even more innovative. Created at the initiative of the municipality, the season of music continues to be a development of the regional scene in and around Toulouse, both in the field of classical and contemporary music.
Its goal, to be a real snapshot of musical vitality and reveal to the public the quality of new and exceptional artists, with emphasis on young talent, whether classical artists and musicians from various scenes – song, jazz, new folk music, rock, hip-hop, etc.
For the 2010 Festival, Toulouse d’été goes even further to provoke encounters between Toulouse and artists from different backgrounds, to promote a wider variety of music from the local community and attract visitors.
Toulouse d’été will be the rendezvous of Europe, the Mediterranean or Africa. A festival to exchange and which is exported, since a sample of this edition is presented in preview in Zaragoza as part of Ida y vuelta and another will join the Jazz Festival Budapest in the autumn.
Toulouse was also resolutely open to the city. Music nomadic encounter an architecture and an amazing heritage.
